Woman In Critical Condition After Being Hit By Car In Point Breeze
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A woman was rushed to the hospital late Wednesday after she was struck by a vehicle and critically injured in Point Breeze.
The vehicle and pedestrian crash happened at Penn Avenue and North Linden Avenue around 8:30 p.m., officials said.

According to Pittsburgh Public Safety officials, the woman was crossing the street outside of the crosswalk when she was struck. The driver of the vehicle was headed westbound toward Fifth Avenue.
Police say the driver reported dark conditions at the time.

The driver remained at the scene to cooperate with police, telling officials they could not see the woman.
The victim was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. At last check, she was listed in critical condition.
Penn Avenue was shut down between Fifth and Linden Avenues as police investigated and cleared the scene Wednesday night.
The investigation continues.
