Felipe Vazquez Named To National League All-Star Team

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- It's official, the Pirates' Felipe Vazquez is heading to the 2019 MLB All-Star Game.

The Pirates pitcher is making his second straight appearance in the game.

Vazquez is tied for fifth in the National League with 19 saves. Since 2017, he has 77 saves, good for third-most among National League pitchers.

He converted on his first 14 save opportunities this season prior to June 1.

Vazquez is joining first baseman Josh Bell.
