UPMC Buying 105-Year-Old Hospital In Ireland

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- UPMC is buying another Irish hospital.

UPMC will take over the Aut Even Hospital in Kilkenny. The hospital is 105 years old, the oldest private hospital in Ireland.

UPMC already owns two other hospitals in Ireland, as well as other specialized facilities like a cancer care center and a sports medicine center.

The deal still has to be approved by Irish regulators. The terms of the deal haven't been disclosed.
