University Prep Student Found Possessing 10 Stamp Bags Of Heroin

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – An 11th grade student at University Prep was found with nearly a dozen stamp bags of heroin Tuesday morning.

According to Pittsburgh Public Schools spokeswoman Ebony Pugh, school officials became suspicious when the student appeared to be under the influence.

School security attempted to stop the male student, but he ran and appeared to put something in his mouth. Eventually, security caught up with the student and made him spit it out.

At that time, officials found 10 stamp bags of heroin in his possession. Paramedics were called to the school, checked the student and cleared him.

School officials called his parents, who came and picked him up. Charges are pending against the student.

No other information has been released at this time.
