Uniontown Walmart reopens after state police investigate bomb threat

The Walmart location in Uniontown at Fayette Crossing has reopened after it was shut down and evacuated due to a potential bomb threat.

The store's Facebook account posted that it had reopened to customers just before 2 p.m. Saturday. According to state police, the store was evacuated around 10 a.m.

"The location is expected to remain closed for an extended period today," state police said in a statement provided to KDKA-TV. "Troopers are ensuring there is no ongoing threat to the store or its patrons prior to reopening." 

All of the entrances to the Walmart were blocked, and the state police roped off the parking lot with police tape while the investigation remained ongoing.
