Two Injured In Allentown Shooting

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are investigating a shooting that took place in the Allentown area early Sunday morning.

The shooting took place around 3:45 a.m. Police say officers were on patrol in the Allentown area when they heard gunshots. Officers then responded to the 200-block of Helen Way, where they found a vehicle that had sustained gunfire damage. They also found shell casings and blood on the ground. Individuals who were in the area told police they heard gunshots and saw people fleeing from the scene.

Police say around 4 a.m., officers were told that two gunshot victims had arrived at Mercy Hospital. A 28-year-old man was shot in the leg multiple times and is reported to be in stable condition. A 24-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and is reported to be in critical condition.
