INDIANA TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - One home was destroyed and another was damaged in a three-alarm fire in Indiana Township.

The fire broke out in the 200 block of Little Deer Creek Road and West Deer Police described it as a "fully-involved fire."

One person was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries and a firefighter was treated on scene for heat exhaustion.

According to the Rural Ridge Fire Chief, one person lived in each home.

"We did lose one house totally, it was fully involved. The other house, the exposure, has some minor damage, probably some minor water damage also, but he's lucky, he's probably going to be able to stay in that house tonight," said Adam Siemianowski, Rural Ridge Fire Chief.

The Allegheny County Fire Marshal is investigating the fire.
