According to the fire chief at the scene, two trucks crashed into one another, sending one into the vacant building. One of the drivers was killed. There's no word on the other driver's condition.

Tim Llewellyn, chief of the Adams Area Fire District, said crews are working to learn how this happened. The Pennsylvania State Police's accident reconstruction team was called to the scene for assistance.

Crews also worked extensively on the building to remove the crashed truck.

"The damage is pretty extensive on this one side corner," the chief said. "It is limited to the front corner of the building. There is severe structural damage on the first floor."
