Turnpike Closure Postponed Due To Inclement Weather

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A previously scheduled closure of I-76 will be postponed due to the inclement weather conditions.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission initially planned to close eastbound lanes between the Butler Valley Interchange and the Allegheny Valley Interchange between midnight and 2 a.m. Sunday. It was announced Saturday morning, however, that the closure would be pushed back to next weekend.

The closure was scheduled so that steel sign posts could be installed as part of an ongoing total reconstruction project on an 8-mile section of the Turnpike.
