Truck Crashes Into Stanton Heights Home

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Emergency crews were called to Stanton Heights this afternoon where a semi-truck crashed into a home.

The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. at Camellia Street and Christopher Street, near the bottom of a steep hill.

The truck was reportedly hauling metal pieces when it crashed into a garage.

The homeowner says the damage was bad, but it could have been worse.

"My mother was supposed to be here in that room, and I am so glad [she wasn't]... cause that would've been a disaster," said Rozelle Pamphile.

The truck driver told her he lost control.

He was not hurt.
