Woman Arrested In Connection To Troy Hill Bank Robbery

TROY HILL (KDKA) -- Police have arrested a woman who allegedly robbed a bank in Troy Hill late Friday morning.

The robbery happened around 11:20 a.m. Friday at the WesBanco Bank in the 1700 block of Lowrie Street.

Police said an unidentified woman entered the bank, approached the teller and demanded money. She ran from the bank after receiving an undisclosed amount of money. She did not appear to have a weapon and no injuries were reported.

The suspect was later identified as 20-year-old Shakihya Ruffin.

Police say Ruffin was arrested around 5:40 p.m. Monday after a traffic stop.

Ruffin is facing two counts of robbery and one count of receiving stolen property.
