Tree Falling On Tow Truck Prompts Road Closure In Larimer

LARIMER (KDKA) - A tree fell on top of a tow truck in Larimer Tuesday night and the road remained closed through the morning rush hour.

According to officials, the tree fell along Negley Run Boulevard around 11:30 p.m.

Public Works crews are not sure what caused the tree to topple onto a tow truck. Fortunately, the driver was not inside at the time and called 911.

Duquesne Light crews were called to the scene due to some downed power lines.

The road reopened around 11 a.m. Wednesday.
