Tractor-Trailer Blaze Blocks East Lanes Of Pa. Turnpike

CARLISLE, Pa. (KDKA) - A tractor-trailer fire on the Pennsylvania Turnpike blocked off the eastbound lanes on Thursday night.

Reports say the accident is in the area of Mile Post 208.2. The westbound lanes are being let through.

Emergency dispatchers say the tractor-trailer struck a median and then burst into flames.

The driver has been rushed to an area hospital. Their condition is unknown.

The eastbound side of the road is expected to be closed down for sometime while crews remove the tractor trailer.

A detour is in effect.
