Fayette County Man Killed In Head-On Crash

WHARTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (KDKA) – A Fayette County man was killed in a head-on collision in Wharton Township on Sunday.

It happened around 12:15 p.m. on National Pike.

State police say a 50-year-old man driving a pickup truck was traveling east on National Pike when he traveled into the westbound lane and struck another vehicle head-on.

The driver of the second vehicle, 68-year-old Norman Joseph Ciaccia, of Fayette County, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
