Pittsburgh Looks Back To Three Rivers Stadium 18 Years Later

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- It has now officially been 18 years since Three Rivers Stadium fell to the ground, and many people are sharing the memories of the venue.

The Pittsburgh Steelers posted a tribute to the stadium on Twitter Monday morning.

"#OTD in 2001, we said goodbye to an old friend."

An account devoted to keeping the memories of the structure alive was active as well with great pictures of that day.

"It's been 18 long years since they killed me. But my memory lives on in your hearts. Feel free to RT and share a fond memory of me today. I love you Pittsburgh! #BurghProud #HereWeGo #LetsGoBucs"

Before last Summer, the stadium's website was still active. It was not updated since roughly 1998. The domain has now expired the site is now a soccer stadium blog.
