The Exchange Offering Reward In Clerk's Shooting

ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- The Exchange is now offering a $5,000 reward for help finding the man who shot a clerk during an attempted robbery at their store on McKnight Road in Ross Township earlier this month.

The robber demanded money and then shot the clerk when he didn't open the cash register fast enough.

The suspect ended up leaving with nothing.

The clerk is recovering.

Police released this statement issued by The Exchange: "Since these incidents are currently under police investigation, we cannot supply you with any more details at this time. However, we are very proud of our 39-year commitment of providing a safe environment or our shoppers and employees."

Police are also investigating recent robberies at The Exchange stores in Monroeville and Squirrel Hill.

They're not sure if the same person robbed all three places.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Ross Township Police at 412-931-9070.
