Teen Helps Community With Eagle Scout Project

NEW KENSINGTON (KDKA) - A Westmoreland County teen is helping the community with his Eagle Scout project.

He's helped refurbish the East Kensington Community Center in New Kensington.

Justin Concoly organized three days of work there.

He and a group of volunteers put in new gravel and parking curbs, added benches, a flag pole with a monument, and they painted the building.

For as much as this building and these people put out for the community, I kind of wanted something for them to have back. They rent it out for people, so if people drive by and see it's a nice place, rent it out, then, that's more that they can help with the soldiers and everyone else," Concoly said.

Concoly says he plans to help with other projects in the community as well.
