TARENTUM, Pa. (KDKA) - Remains discovered in the basement of a building in Tarentum that's being renovated were determined to be from an animal.

A contractor who was working in the basement on East Fifth Avenue found the bones Tuesday.

"We used to be an old funeral home back in the 1800s, so that's kind of suspicious. If it is human bones, who is it, what is it? But yeah, it's a little crazy," said Robert Hatjaik, who owns the business next door.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office took the bones and on Wednesday said they're not human.
