SWAT Team Surrounds Garfield Home After Home Invasion

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The SWAT team surrounded a home in Garfield late Wednesday night after a reported home invasion and attempted robbery.

The incident happened just after 11 p.m. in the 300-block of North Graham Street.

According to Pittsburgh Police spokeswoman Emily Schaffer, three armed men with ski masks drug a man out of his vehicle and into the house.

Once inside, the three men robbed the victim and five others inside the home.

Police say at one point, several shots were fired in the house, but no one was hit.

Witnesses reported seeing at least two men fleeing the house through the back door. Officers were unable to determine if the third suspect was still inside, so they called SWAT to the scene.

SWAT members cleared each floor of the home and determined nobody was inside.

Paramedics were called to the scene, but no one was injured.
