Arrests Made In Connection To October Home Invasion

HOMEWOOD (KDKA) -- Three arrests were made Friday night in connection to a home invasion in October.

The Group Violence Initiative and the Narcotics Unit worked on a joint investigation, which led to the arrests. Detectives located the suspects around 4:30 p.m. Friday in the 1200 block of Mohler Street in North Homewood.

Three men were arrested: Clayton Sowell, 22; Troy Smith, 19, and Kendre Cain, 17. Cain will be charged as an adult. The detectives also recovered two guns.

SWAT was initially called, and it was reported that a man was barricaded inside a home on Mohler Street. SWAT was not required once the detectives had the scene under control.

No injuries have been reported.
