SWAT Situation Ends Peacefully After Man Claims Someone Tried To Kill Him

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police and SWAT were called to a house in Pittsburgh's Brighton Heights neighborhood Monday afternoon.

It ended peacefully before 5 p.m.

Police say it started when 34-year-old Lonnie Wade called 911 in the afternoon and said someone was trying to kill him.

He said he didn't' want police to come to his home, warning that he would "have something for them."

A SWAT team responded and after about two hours, Wade surrendered.

Police believe Wade had ingested a chemical – possibly bleach – which made him disoriented.
