Police: Man Arrested After Barricading Himself In Girlfriend's Home

BEAVER FALLS (KDKA) -- Police say a man was arrested after he barricaded himself in his girlfriend's Beaver Falls home Monday afternoon.

According to Beaver Falls Police, a 22-year-old man from Ellwood City was allegedly involved in an incident in North Sewickley Township on Sunday night. Details of the incident were not released, but a felony arrest warrant was put out for the man.

The man apparently went to his girlfriend's home on 17th Avenue in Beaver Falls on Monday while the woman was out.

Police say when the girlfriend returned, the man had barricaded himself inside and the girlfriend couldn't get into her home.

Beaver Falls Police and Beaver County SWAT were both called to the scene around 1:40 p.m.

They were able to get the suspect safely out of the house around 3:45 p.m. He was then turned over to North Sewickley Township Police and transported to the Beaver County Jail.
