Suspect In Custody After North Side Standoff

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- One man is in custody after a two-hour standoff Tuesday evening on Pittsburgh's North Side.

The incident began around 8 p.m. at an apartment building along the 4000-block of Perrysville Avenue and Vincent Avenue.

Police say, acting on a tip, they were looking for a man possibly wanted on multiple warrants in Allegheny County.

According to police, when officers arrived at the scene, the man refused to come out and may have been armed with a gun.

That's when the SWAT team was called in.

Authorities eventually took 30-year-old Calvin Brundidge into custody.

He was checked out at Allegheny General Hospital before being taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
