Suspects Sought After McKees Rocks Shooting Leaves 1 Dead

MCKEES ROCKS (KDKA) – Police are investigating after a 20-year-old man was shot and killed in McKees Rocks Wednesday afternoon.

Shots rang out just after 11 a.m. Wednesday on Robb Street.

Orlando Ferguson, 20, of McKees Rocks was gunned down. Police found him suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the parking lot of Building 5 at the Uansa Village housing complex.

He died a short time later in the hospital.

"We don't know exactly what led up to the shooting or the motivation for the shooting," said Lt. Andrew Schurman, of Allegheny County Police. "We're not sure how many people were indeed firing handguns."

At least two suspects fled in a car. There's a bullet hole in the fender.

Pittsburgh Police tracked down the silver Dodge Charger in Beechview.

The suspects are believed to have jumped onto the T and taken a trip downtown. That prompted police to search the Gateway T station.

Later, police scoured Point State Park, and then headed to the North Side.

However, they still haven't found the suspects.

Meanwhile, police are reviewing evidence, including a pile of cash that the victim was carrying.

"We did recover a sum of money from the pavement around where the victim fell," Lt. Schurman said.

Police are also examining the getaway car for fingerprints and other evidence.

Investigators say the motive for the shooting remains unclear.
