Suspect Identified After Woman Found Dead In Car On Route 40

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – An arrest warrant has been issued after a woman was found dead in her car in Fayette County this weekend.

Police say they were called around 8:30 a.m. Saturday for a crash on Route 40, near the entrance to Lick Hollow Park in Hopewood.

Police say the car was first discovered by PennDOT snow plow operators. However, they soon realized 37-year-old Mya Ann Grady of Uniontown was inside. She had been shot to death.

The suspect has now been identified as Terry Walker, 45, of Uniontown.

On Tuesday, State Police and a CERT team attempted to serve the warrant at Walker's home on North Avenue. However, he was not at there at the time and is still at large.

"The family did provide information that they have other family members in the Ohio area and in the Florida area," said Trooper Stefani Lucas, of Pennsylvania State Police.

According to an affidavit, Grady attempted to break up with Walker. They had been together for approximately seven years.

"Most recently, I believe she was in the process of breaking off the relationship because it was at a point where they weren't getting along anymore," said Trooper Lucas.

Family members described the relationship as "turbulent and abusive."

KDKA has learned Walker told investigators he followed Grady the day she was shot to death and was present when the woman was killed. We've also learned and a unnamed individual actually called law enforcement the day before the killing, warning them that Walker had threatened Grady's life.

Walker's neighbors are shocked.

"He was quiet toward the end there and didn't say much, and it kind of got me a little bit worried," said James Kushak, a friend of the suspect. "It wasn't the same person I was associated with."

Walker is facing homicide charges and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

He may be driving either a white Volkswagen sedan with PA plate JLL-9538 or a black Nissan Pathfinder with PA plate HWX-7990.

Anyone with information is asked to call State Police in Uniontown at (724)-439-7111.
