'Supernatural' Actor Jared Padalecki Moved By Comic-con Candlelight Tribute

Fighting back tears, CW star Jared Padalecki was surprised by a grassroots event that took place during the "Supernatural" panel at San Diego Comic-con.

Battery-powered tealights were distributed to the guests of Hall H with instructions to turn them on and hold them up when signaled. The gesture was intended as an act of solidarity with Padalecki who has admitted to struggling with depression.

Earlier this year he promoted depression awareness with a his Always Keep Fighting campaign.

When the time came, thousands of spectators held up the lights and it hit home with the CW actor.

After the panel Padalecki profusely thanked those involved with a message on his Facebook page.

"From the very bottom of my heart and my soul, thank you so much.

I will never forget this day. I will never forget the love that I felt, and still feel.

And, to everybody who held a light for me, please know that I hold my light for you."

If you or someone you know needs help, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255).
