Subway Clown Mask Robber Arrested

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police have captured the man they say robbed a Subway shop while wearing a clown mask.

They say Matthew Goodwin held up the Subway on Route 30 in Jeannette.

He pointed a gun at the clerk, demanded money and eventually took off with the cash register.

During the robbery, a 17-year-old girl also came into the store. Goodwin allegedly held a gun to the girl's head, and stole $2 from her.

Officers later found him overdosed on drugs at a home in the Hempfield Highlands trailer park, along with an empty, destroyed register.

He is currently in the Westmoreland County Jail on a $5,000 straight bond.
