Study: Muslims Surpass Atheists As Most Unpopular Group In America

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Muslims are now the most unpopular group in the US according to a new study.

The University of Minnesota study shows that Americans' disapproval of Muslims has jumped to 45.5 percent from only 26 percent 10-years ago.

Nearly half of the people in the study say they would disapprove of their child marrying a Muslim.

Of those surveyed, 22-percent said they believe Muslims are a threat to public order and safety.

The study also found that anti-atheist sentiment still exists in America, finding that 40 percent of Americans surveyed say atheists "do not at all agree" with their vision of America.
