String Of So-Called "Pranks" Lands 2 Young Men In Jail

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Two young men are in jail following a string of dangerous, so-called "pranks."

Police say 19-year-old Daniel McConahy and 18-year-old Joshua Klein are accused of using a flare gun to set a home in Shenango Township on fire last month.

"Got my husband, walked outside, and boy was the fire rolling," said Tammy Miller, a neighbor. "The back of the house was all fire, clear up to the trees."

They're also accused of making homemade bombs and using them to blow up mailboxes.

Police say they learned how to make the bomb on the Internet.

Both are facing up to 39 counts each, ranging from arson to possessing bomb-making materials.
