Steelers Trade Punter Brad Wing To Giants

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - With two punters on the roster and cuts needing to be made, the Steelers traded punter Brad Wing to the New York Giants.

In return, the Steelers received a conditional seventh-round 2016 draft pick.

The trade of Wing means Jordan Berry has won the punting competition.

Wing was the Steelers punter last season, punting 61 times for 2,668 yards, good for a 43.7 average that ranked 29th in team punting stats.

The Steelers are likely looking to make up for draft picks they traded away this off-season for cornerback Brandon Boykin and kicker Josh Scobee.
