Steelers Re-Sign Defensive End Brett Keisel, 2-Year Deal

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Free Agent Defensive End Brett Keisel made a visit to the Arizona Cardinals this week, but that won't be his landing spot.

The Steelers announced that Keisel has signed a two-year contract with the team.

Keisel tweeted Tuesday that he would continue with the Steelers.

Post-Gazette Steelers beat writer and 93-7 The FAN Steelers Insider Ed Bouchette also confirmed that Keisel is reuniting with his old team.

Keisel should be a nice complement to a younger, revamped defensive line that now includes the likes of Cam Heyard, rookie Stephon Tuitt and free agent signing Cam Thomas.

Keisel, a 2002 7th-round draft pick, has played his entire career with the Steelers recording 246 total tackles, 29 sacks, 7 forced fumbles and 9 fumbles recovered.

Last year with the Steelers, Keisel played in 12 games due to injury and recorded 20 total tackles, 4 sacks, 1 forced fumble and 2 fumble recoveries.
