Steelers Receive Three Compensatory Draft Picks

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - According to the NFL, the Pittsburgh Steelers received three compensatory draft picks for players they lost during the last offseason.

The compensatory picks are in the 3rd round, 5th round and 6th round, with their 3rd round pick being the highest compensatory pick handed out.  That 3rd round pick is due to the loss of Wide Receiver Mike Wallace to the Miami Dolphins.

The Steelers now have the following draft picks:

  • 1st Round: Pick 15
  • 2nd Round: Pick 12
  • 3rd Round: Pick 33
  • 4th Round: Pick 18
  • 5th Round: Pick 17
  • 5th Round: Pick 33
  • 6th Round: Pick 16
  • 6th Round: Pick 39
  • 7th Round: Pick 15

With the addition of three compensatory picks and General Manager Kevin Colbert calling this one of the deepest drafts he's seen, expectations will be at an all-time high for the Steelers to get it right.
