Steelers Place RB Bell On IR, Sign Isaiah Pead

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially placed running back Le'Veon Bell on injured reserve.

Bell suffered a right knee injury during the team's 16-10 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals at Heinz Field.

The Steelers placed Bell on the injured reserve list Monday afternoon, which ends his season.

Several media outlets, including Steelers Depot, reported that Bell suffered a badly torn MCL and other damage.

That was the same knee he injured last year against the Bengals.

In six games, Bell racked up 556 rushing yards with three touchdowns. He also added 24 receptions for 136 yards.

To fill his spot on the roster, the Steelers signed Isaiah Pead, who was released by the Rams back in September.

Pead has appeared in 27 games and has a total of 78 rushing yards and 94 receiving yards.
