Steelers Name Team Captains For 2016 Season
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The Pittsburgh Steelers announced their picks for this season's team captains Monday, and the names look pretty familiar.
For the second consecutive season, quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, cornerback William Gay, defensive end Cameron Heyward and safety Robert Golden will serve as captains.
This will be Roethlisberger's eighth time as offensive captain, Gay and Heyward's second time as defensive captains and Golden's third time as special teams captain.
The Steelers will take on the Washington Redskins for their first regular season game Monday, Sept. 12 at 7:10 p.m.
