Steelers Family Fest 2019 Kicks Off Sunday

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Steelers fans had the opportunity to take in a great event this weekend.

Sunday was the Steelers Family Fest 2019.

The festivities kicked off on Art Rooney Avenue.

The gates opened at 5:30 p.m. into the stadium, where fans could watch the practice that began at 6:30 p.m.

"People that love the Steelers come from all over the states," Chayla Henry from Baltimore said. "And that's why I love this. You see people from like Ohio, which is close, then you can have people from Florida or California. Everyone loves the Steelers."

There was a meet-and-greet event from 6 to 9 p.m. with several former Steelers, including Merril Hoge and Rod Woodson.

Fans also had the opportunity to pose with the Steelers' six Lombardi trophies.

"Great family atmosphere," Chris Bernard of North Huntingdon said. "Steeler nation, can't beat it."
