State Police: Missing, Endangered Mother, 2 Children Found After 'Frantic' Phone Call

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- State police say a missing Blair County mother and children, who were last heard from in Indiana County, have been found.

According to state police, 31-year-old Alicia Brumbaugh and her 1- and 2-year-old children are okay. They were with her wanted father-in-law, identified as 56-year-old Edgar Decker, Jr., of Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania.

According to state police, Brumbaugh and her children - 2-year-old Aleah and 1-year-old Maverick - had last been seen around 4 a.m. Monday in their hometown of Imler, Blair County.

State police say Brumbaugh "made a frantic phone call" just after 11:20 p.m. Monday from or near the parking lot of the Walmart in Indiana, Pennsylvania. However, the phone call ended before she could give any details to the dispatcher.

Police say they were with Decker who was wanted on an active felony warrant and was recently released from a rehab facility.

They were traveling in a black, 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche with the license plate ZGZ-6781.

State police say surveillance video showed a vehicle fitting that description leaving the Indiana Walmart/Southtowne Plaza last night at 11:21 p.m. The vehicle then turned right onto Oakland Avenue/SR 286 West.

Just before 10:30 a.m. this morning, state police say a driver called 911 to report the vehicle traveling east along State Route 422 in Armstrong Township, Indiana County.

State troopers pulled the vehicle over on State Route 422 at State Route 286 and found Brumbaugh, Decker and the two children inside.

Decker was arrested on the outstanding felony arrest warrant for retail theft without incident. Brumbaugh and her children were not hurt.

State police continue to investigate.
