Star Sloth Valentino Celebrates His Birthday At National Aviary

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The National Aviary is celebrating the birthday of it's star sloth Valentino.

The two-toed sloth celebrated his first birthday this weekend with a number of festivities, including some rather special snacks. He chowed down on "Smash Cake," which was made out of leaf eater biscuit with fresh fruit such as cranberries and papaya, with a mashed sweet potato frosting and Julienne-cut squash and sweet potato as candles.

Valentino was purchased from a breeder in Florida. He's been hand-raised at the Aviary since February.
