Boil Water Advisory Issued For Stanton Heights & Garfield Lifted

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - The boil water advisory for parts of Stanton Heights and Garfield has been lifted.

The Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority said that two rounds of water quality testing did not show any contamination, confirming the water is safe to drink.

The advisory was put in place on Saturday morning after the Garfield Tank experienced an interruption in pumping and depleted water pressure. A water pressure loss can lead to drinking water becoming contaminated.
