1 Transported To Hospital After Stabbing On North Shore

NORTH SHORE (KDKA) -- One person is in custody following a stabbing that took place on the North Shore Friday afternoon.

Police arrested April Loughner, 33-years-old of Pittsburgh, after she allegedly stabbed a man who walked into the Rivers Casino with some type of stab wound just after 4:00 p.m.

When officers arrived, they saw the man with a superficial cut to one of his arms and he was transported to a hospital where he was treated.

According to the victim, a man slashed him with a knife at the Allegheny T-Station about an hour and a half prior to his arrival at the Rivers. Security camera footage did not turn up any evidence.

Further investigation revealed the wound was caused by a dispute that took place in a different part of the city earlier Friday.

Loughner faces charges of simple assault and strangulation.
