Squirrel Hill Tunnel Crash Causing Traffic Mess

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A multi-vehicle accident inside of the Squirrel Hill Tunnel is backing up traffic on the Parkway East this morning.

According to state police, the three- to four-vehicle crash happened around 10 a.m. on the outbound side of the tunnel.

Authorities had to shut down the left lane on the outbound side while they cleared the vehicles.

The outbound right lane stayed open.

One injury was reported.

That person was taken to a local hospital to be checked out. There's no word on that person's condition.
