South Fayette Shooting Sees Woman In Custody, Man In Hospital

SOUTH FAYETTE, Pa. (KDKA) – One person was taken to the hospital and another is in custody after a domestic altercation in a South Fayette Township neighborhood on Saturday morning.
Police and paramedics were sent to a home on Lakemont Drive near Pinewood Drive around 8:40 a.m. for reports of shots fired and people yelling.
According to a criminal complaint, 27-year-old Kebra Murphy told her boyfriend to leave their house because she had found messages in his phone.
Murphy and her boyfriend then allegedly began pushing, shoving and throwing things at each other. Murphy's boyfriend left the house, but quickly returned and another physical altercation ensued.
According to police, the boyfriend left the house again when he realized Murphy had gotten her gun.
Murphy then allegedly shot at her boyfriend, striking him in the abdomen.
The boyfriend then ran to the driveway, yelled that he had been shot, got into his vehicle and drove away.
Murphy allegedly fired two shots toward the vehicle as he drove away.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for his injuries.
Murphy is being charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
