3 People Dead In Somerset County Fire

MEYERSDALE, Pa. (KDKA) -- An overnight fire is under investigation after it claimed three lives in Somerset County.

The blaze was reported around 2 a.m. along Maple Valley Road in Meyersdale.

Police identified the victims as 55-year-old homeowner Lugene Albright, her 31-year-old son Jimmy Christner and his girlfriend, 22-year-old Saras Bottorff.

"It seems the victims were most likely sleeping when this fire took place," Pennsylvania State Trooper Stephen Limani said.

The Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal is investigating.

In addition to the three people killed, 12 dogs and one cat perished in the fire.
