Somerset Co. Man Arrested For Having Loaded Gun In Carry-On Bag

BALTIMORE (KDKA) – A man from Somerset County was arrested at Baltimore Washington International-Thurgood Marshal Airport Monday for having a loaded gun in his carry-on luggage.

According to TSA officials, the man had .40-caliber semi-automatic handgun, which was loaded with eight rounds.

The gun was found when the bag went through the X-ray machine at the security checkpoint.

According to a press release, this was the seventh gun TSA officers had found this year at BWI Airport. Over 1,400 guns have been found at checkpoints nationwide this year.

The man's name has not been released, but he could face criminal charges and a fine of up to $11,000.
