Some Downtown Roads To Close For Peduto's Inauguration

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – As the city prepares for the swearing in of the city's next mayor, Bill Peduto, officials warn there will be many street closures.

Monday's ceremony will take place at noon at Heinz Hall and a reception will take place afterward at PPG's Winter Garden.

According to officials, the following road closures and parking restrictions will take place Monday:

Road Closures:

  • Penn Avenue between Penn & Liberty (Approximately 9:30)
  • 3rd Avenue between Market & Stanwix (Approximately 11:00)
  • 4th Avenue between Market & Stanwix (Approximately 11:00 or later)
  • Fourth Avenue from Stanwix to PPG rink (Approximately 2 - 4:30 p.m.)

Parking Restrictions: No parking after 9 a.m.

  • Penn Avenue between 7th Street & Stanwix
  • 6th Street between Penn & Liberty
  • Liberty Avenue between 7th & Stanwix
  • Stanwix between Penn Avenue & 3rd Avenue
  • 4th Avenue between Stanwix and PPG
  • 3rd Avenue between Stanwix and Market
