Snowstorm Making Travel Treacherous For Fayette EMS Crews

CONNELLSVILLE (KDKA) -- About seven inches of snow fell in Connellsville by 11 p.m. Friday night, and every inch makes it a little more difficult for members of Fayette EMS to do their job.

Julie Peters, a regional supervisor, says: "When weather gets this bad, we have issues."

Response times in more rural areas can be more than doubled because of the snow.

Fayette EMS has a plan to use ATVs if the roads get too treacherous, but so far, they're using two-wheel drive ambulances.

The ambulance crew has a long night ahead.
