Sickly-Looking Bear Euthanized After Capture In Kittanning

KITTANNING (KDKA) - The sickly-looking bear found roaming Kittanning was euthanized Friday after the Pennsylvania Game Commission captured her.

Rick Kulbacki, who took the original pictures of the bear when she wandered into his backyard, told KDKA the bear was caught in a trap around 2 p.m. Friday and that the Game Commission took her away about an hour later.

The Game Commission confirmed Saturday morning that after they captured the adult, female bear, they determined she was in worse condition than they originally thought, and she was euthanized and buried.
