Pittsburgh police investigating shooting in Uptown
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — One person was shot Wednesday in Pittsburgh's Uptown neighborhood.
The shooting happened at Fifth Avenue and Seneca Street. A man and woman were in a vehicle when shots were fired by the shooter, officials said.
The man was taken to a local hospital in critical but stable condition, Pittsburgh Public Safety said. Officials originally said that the woman was also shot, but Public Safety clarified that she suffered a head injury after crashing the vehicle into a pole.
Police questioned and cleared a man in connection to the shooting. While at police headquarters, he tried to run away from officers but was quickly caught.
Police are investigating the shooting. No arrests have been made.
