According to police, SWAT was called because officers believed the suspect was armed and barricaded in the home.

SWAT later cleared the structure. Police believe the suspect jumped out of a second-floor window before officers arrived.

The suspect was later apprehended near the Dollar General on Sheraden Boulevard. He was then taken to a local hospital for observation.

Police did not recover a gun, and they did not find evidence of gun shots fired.

The investigation is ongoing.

Pittsburgh Langley K-8 was placed on lockdown just before 3 p.m. while the situation was going on. The lockdown was lifted just before 4 p.m.
