Shazier Autograph Session Benefits UPMC Spinal Cord Injury Research

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier is giving back to the hospital that has aided him as he recovers from a severe spinal injury last season.
On Saturday, Shazier held his first public autograph signing since the injury at The Mall at Robinson. Leaning on a cane, Shazier walked out to the autograph table as fans cheered.
"I just want to thank everybody for all of their prayers, all of their support, for just continuingly believing in me," Shazier said, "because I was really down bad and I just appreciate everybody for everything you've been doing for me. And honestly, all of the support and all of the love is constantly making me want to go even harder."
A portion of proceeds will benefit the UPMC Spinal Cord Injury Research.
Only 350 tickets for the signing were sold by memorabilia supplier Total Sports Enterprises Pittsburgh.
