Shaler Water Main Break Leaves 200 Homes Without Service

SHALER (KDKA) –Roughly 200 homes in Shaler were without water service due to a water main break Monday night.

According to officials, the break happened at the intersection of Soose and Fenway Roads.

The Hampton-Shaler Water Authority issued a statement detailing the affected areas.

"The areas affected are Soose Road from Parker Street to the Cemetery. Fenway Road, Heather Drive, Lupine Drive, Sedum Drive, Mandrake Drive, Winterset Drive, Venice Road," the statement said.

Crews completed the repairs and restored service around 8 a.m.

Affected customers were being directed to the Cherry City Volunteer Fire Company on Davis Avenue to fill up containers with water during the outage.
